What each error means and what to do about it.
Errors you may see
Authentication required. Connect your Supercurve account.
The app sent no token or an expired one. Reconnect the connector in the app. In Claude this is the Connect or Reconnect button on the connector; in Claude Code and Codex it is /mcp.
The Supercurve MCP connector is not enabled for this account yet. The connector is switched off for your account. Write to hello@supercurve.ai with the email you sign in with.
Couldn't reach the MCP server (Claude)
Check the URL is exactly https://mcp.supercurve.ai/mcp, with https and without anything after /mcp. If your network blocks outbound connections, the sign-in page at app.supercurve.ai must also be reachable.
No website matched, or the tool asks for website_id
Your account can see several websites. Ask the app to list your websites first, then name the one you mean in your question.
An action was refused The message says why. The common reasons: the website is paused or out of credits, so paid work such as scans and research cannot be queued; a surface was refreshed in the last 15 minutes and must cool down; or a list is at its cap (50 tracked prompts, 25 tracked competitors per website).
The numbers did not change after a refresh
request_refresh queues collection and returns at once. Most checks land within a few minutes. Ask the app to check the refresh, then read the data again.
Per client
Claude: there is no Add custom connector button. Custom connectors need a Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise plan. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds Supercurve under Organization settings first; members then connect with their own account.
ChatGPT: saved the MCP but never got a sign-in. Saving does not start the sign-in. Open Supercurve in the MCPs list and choose Authenticate.
Codex: a longer question times out.
Codex gives a tool 60 seconds by default. In ~/.codex/config.toml, under [mcp_servers.supercurve], set tool_timeout_sec = 90.
Muse: "browser backend is down". You are in the phone app, which cannot finish the sign-in yet. Use muse.ai in a browser on a computer. Nothing is left half set up on the Supercurve side.
OpenClaw: signed in but the agent does not see the tools.
Reload or restart the gateway so it picks up the new server. openclaw mcp doctor supercurve --probe checks the connection.
Hermes Agent: connects but registers no tools.
Hermes has an open issue where OAuth servers connect but register no tools in the agent loop (hermes-agent issue 39551). hermes mcp test supercurve shows whether the connection itself works.
Still stuck
Write to hello@supercurve.ai with the app you are using, the time it happened, and the exact error text. If the app shows a reference id for the failed connection, include it.
